For TVs West family, going straight means changing the habits of a lifetime.

The Wests make up a one-family crime wave with a proud tradition in thievery, larceny and petty theft, until now. When patriarch Wolfgang West is sentenced to four years in jail, his wife Cheryl decides enough is enough; the family is cleaning up its act and going straight. Can the Wests live up to Cheryl’s resolve and stay out of crime? It’s not easy to be a saint when you have the DNA of a sinner.

The show follows the cheerfully trashy crime family’s attempts to stay out of trouble: matriarch Cheryl, determined to save her brood from following in their father’s fingerprints; eldest son Jethro, an ambitious lawyer-to-be with a few secrets; Jethro’s twin Van (identical except in the brains department) who only wants to be like his dad; 18-year-old Pascalle, who wants to be Rachel Hunter; 15-year-old movie buff Loretta, who is blackmailing her teacher; and Grandpa Ted, who may have Alzheimer’s – unless he’s just playing it up to annoy people.

Then there’s Detective Sergeant Wayne Judd, the West family nemesis; the Hongs, a wealthy Asian who may – or may not – have Triad connections; Caroline Darling, Loretta’s deputy principal, who has been having an affair with Jethro since he was a 15-year-old student; Munter, Van’s best mate and partner in crime; and Wolf himself, who does not intend to take his wife’s sudden wave of righteousness lying down.

Outragous Fortune has exploded on to our TV screens. It’s a drama that isn’t afraid to be for want of a better word ... outrageous. Dripping with rough and ready characters, edgy storylines and more than a healthy smattering of sex so what’s not to like?

And while we’re on the subject of healthy sex, let’s talk about Pascalle West as the oldest daughter of the West clan. A beautiful and naughty vixen played by the equally beautiful and naughty Siobhan Marshall as these photos prove.

Pascalle’s character is very attractive and very lazy, but she more than makes up for this with an overwhelming self-confidence that belies her 18 years.

She has high hopes for a career in modelling, which are advanced by considerable personal grooming, reading magazines and waiting to be discovered.

Pascalle believes in the wisdom of Rachel Hunter – it might not happen overnight, but it will happen. She also feels that she doesn’t get the respect or support she is due and resents the attention showered on Jethro (suck-up swot) and Van (loser criminal). She doesn’t see why her mother is so upset about the grocery money when an international modelling contract could only be months away.

But what about the actor behind Pascalle? How does she feel about it all ...

How are you and Pascalle alike in real life?

Apart from appearances we’re pretty much opposite personalities. She’s much more upfront than I am. Sometimes she’ll say something I wish I had the guts to say. We probably eat
the same.

Have you ever thought about trying for an international modelling contract?
At one point I did, but if I was going to take it seriously I wasn’t allowed to eat any dessert … My heart definitely wasn’t in that.

What music do you like?
I like quite mellow, chilled out music. I’m listening to Cold Play a lot at the moment and this French jazz CD that I have borrowed from a friend. But I also like music like Beyonce’s.

What’s your favourite movie of all time?

Breakfast at Tiffanys and I love Desperado! Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek!

What is your favorite sport to watch?
Basketball and pool.

If you had a choice, what would you have as a last meal?
New York-baked cheesecake or halva from the Hare Krishna place on K Road, Auckland.

Can you cook?
No, I assemble

What’s your signature dish?
I don’t really cook much. I make pancakes at Christmas for my family get together.

Men … what have you learnt about them?
The best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach …

If you could change the world, what would you do?
Feed the world (but not with my cooking).

What do you eat for breakfast?
At the moment it is fruit toast.

How often do you exercise and what do you do?
Whenever I get the chance, I go to the gym and I do weights and classes and lots of “sauna-ing”.

What’s your favourite Rolling Stones Song?
“Under my Thumb”.

What would you like to win an Oscar for?
Best Actress in some amazing, mind-boggling, life-changing, history-making film!
Is it easy or hard to maintain a relationship with a guy while you’re an actor? It’s hard. It’s hard for him to see me in scenes that are intimate. Also, the filming times are all over the place which makes it hard to make time to see each other. When you do get time off you’re too tired to do anything, but sit around or sleep! But I’m not complaining.

What should a guy do to impress you?
He must have a good sense of humour and be ultra-nice to me.
Buying me chocolate always works and [my type is] usually tall!

Have you ever tried internet dating?
No. I know people who have though and it actually worked out for them. I find it a little spooky.

What’s a typical day for you?
For the last little while it’s been sleep in, take the dogs for a walk, go to gym or see friends for breakfast and lunch. I also chill out at the Borders café quite a lot and read. I have just started a part-time job so it’s a bit different now. I’m really enjoying the sleeping in part.
