The MPS is one of the most powerful front-wheel drive sports compacts on the market, delivering new levels of exhilarating performance with an updated MZR 2.3-litre Direct Injection Spark Ignition (DISI) turbo petrol engine.

Increased body rigidity and enhanced suspension means improved safety, handling and performance.  The MPS also features specially tuned brakes for powerful and stable braking with electronic brake assist replacing the previous mechanical system.  Front, side and curtain airbags with active headrests and Dynamic Stability and Traction Control are also standard as well as Bi-xenon front headlamps with Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS).

The aggressive front grille of the new Mazda3 is carried across to the MPS.  While the new air intake for the intercooler in the centre of the bonnet hints at the power beneath and the newly designed 18 inch alloy wheels are reminiscent of the iconic RX-8.  The interior design follows the styling of the Mazda3 with a sleek black theme and a unique red graphic design on the seats.  An arc-shaped dashboard and wrap-around cockpit gives space and openness at the front for a comfortable driving experience.

The new top-mounted Multi-Information Display (MID) ensures the driver has all the information they need at their fingertips, including audio details, fuel calculators, safety alerts and even maintenance reminders.

The MPS has been built with insightful engineering to improve fuel consumption and cleaner emissions which complies with the European Emission Standards Euro Stage V – the first for a Mazda vehicle – no small feat for such a powerful car.
