Pocket a Bombay Sapphire Mixologist

Imagine carrying a mixologist in your pocket who you can consult whenever you’re looking for inspired cocktail ideas. A series of downloadable mixology short films is just one of the features that Bombay Sapphire®, the exceptionally versatile gin in the translucent blue glass bottle, has created as part of its new-look website, an online interactive experience which brings to life a universe of inspired cocktails, inspired design and the inspired taste of Bombay Sapphire.

A visit to www.bombaysapphire.com is a visually rich experience. Delicious cocktails, exotic botanicals and beautiful glass designs fly across the screen, each offering a different entry point to the Bombay Sapphire inspired world. When clicking on a topic to explore, the surrounding images reorder themselves, bringing the most relevant into the foreground to help visitors discover related subjects and enjoy a more fulfilling online experience. Advanced “touch interaction” technology gives a sense of the whole screen coming to life at the touch of a mouse.

The new look site also makes it easier to share information with friends – by email or using dedicated links to social media communities - or take it offline to view at your leisure. Downloadable content includes a series of short films in which Master Mixologist and Global Ambassador for Bombay Sapphire, Merlin Griffiths, shows how to make his favourite cocktails and offers helpful advice along the way.

Cocktails include classics like the Bombay Sapphire dry martini cocktail and the Sapphire Tom Collins as well as Merlin’s own creations like the Sapphire Revelation (Bombay Sapphire gin, rose water, elderflower liqueur).

How to find your pocket mixologist:
From the new Bombay Sapphire home page at www.bombaysapphire.com, scroll down the “Inspired Drinks” menu and select “Mixology Videos”. Here you will find a selection of cocktails. Click on the cocktail that whets your appetite and to download a short film showing how to make the cocktail, click on “Take” in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Download the film on to your portable media player and you have your own pocket mixologist!

As the site evolves, wherever you maybe internationally, www.bombaysapphire.com will act as a local resource for the newest events and activities whether they are related to the very best in contemporary design or enjoying a new taste experience.

“Bombay Sapphire has always had a reputation as a pioneer in the world of spirits and cocktails and has been linked with contemporary design for nearly two decades,” says digital marketing manager for Bombay Sapphire, Tom Jefferies, “so we partnered with US-based digital marketing agency, Shift Global, to push the boundaries of website design and create a look and feel that is both spectacular and revolutionary.”
