Kiwi band The Mint Chicks have their latest release on a USB memory stick.

The award winning band left its record label and teamed up with MusicHype, new Kiwi website that plans to distribute music in more innovative ways.

“It’s about creating real value for people, and saying you can have something physical and it can be cool, and the band can make a profit off that as well,” says Annabel Youens of MusicHype.

The Mint Chicks are the sites first music partners to release their new music on a customised 1GB USB stick. In an ever changing world, the music industry who are suffering unprecedented downturns currently are looking more to innovation as a key element for emerging bands who must always look to marketing their music in attractive and different ways.
