Limited Edition Iconic Icebreaker

The silhouette of a rugby player and New Zealand’s stunning flora has inspired two limited edition styles from iconic fashion label Icebreaker.

Made from premium New Zealand merino, these two quintessentially Kiwi designs make the perfect gift for family, friends and visitors looking to remind themselves of their time in Aotearoa.

The inspiration behind the men’s print comes from the idea that the silhouette of a rugby player kicking for goal resembles the outline of New Zealand. Stuart Forsyth, an Illustrator for Icebreaker, took the concept and morphed a map of Aotearoa into a rugby player kicking a ball above his head.

He also created the image on the women’s top of New Zealand morphing into a hybrid of the stunning flowering plants commonly found up and down the country. Both designs use a graphic illustrative style on a black background with silver and bronze detailing.
