Lexus CT200h

The CT200h will become the fourth Lexus hybrid model available in New Zealand.

CT200h will be New Zealand’s only full hybrid luxury hatchback, featuring a 1.8 litre petrol-electric hybrid drive train with a high performance battery. Lexus’s sporty new car is expected to deliver CO2 emissions of just 96g/km.

Preliminary fuel consumption figures further strengthen the car’s clean and efficient profile, with an anticipated 4.1 litres per 100km in combined cycle driving. Being a full hybrid, it operates automatically in EV mode, switching off the petrol engine and running on its electric motor alone, at speeds from start-up up to 50km/h. The driver may also select EV mode manually.

Final dynamic testing of the CT200h was carried out on European roads to ensure that all aspects of the car’s suspension, steering, regenerative braking system and hybrid power train meet the standards expected in the highly competitive European compact luxury vehicle market.
