Concept technology gluttons would devour this gadget. It's bizarre and hypothetical with technological advances that would inspire the most prolific innovators.

Specs include a waterproof keypad, swappable rubber skins, 21:9 – 180-degree swivel touch screen which can be folded into an eBook, tablet and notebook in one go.

The Flexbook was designer Hao-Chun Huang's entry into Fujitsu’s 2011 Design Award contest.

The design also calls for swappable rubber skins, which will allow for further customisation. It will be interesting to see what kinds of tablets, netbooks, and smartphones manufacturers come up with when flexible OLED screens become cheaply available.

It’s safe to say that tablets, smarthphones and netbooks will probably end up being combined into one device once their displays can be folded.

The Flexbook would have a 30cm  folding screen and is designed to be portable.

And anything this dramatic needs to have impacting fluoro colours to herald to all of geekdom that it has arrived. Hopefully soon.
