The standard 787-8 Dreamliner can carry between 210-250 passengers up to 15,200 km. Whereas the third aircraft in the triumvirate can do 290-330 passengers up to 5,650 km. During boarding, the cabin lights can show an airlines’ corporate colours.
At takeoff, a change to smooth, comforting colours. Warm white light similar to a candlelight dinner could be used during meal times and appreciating either spectrum of the day or night can help passengers acclimatise to the time zones they're flying into.
Since the aircraft went on sale in 2003, 55 customers from 6 continents have placed orders for 840 planes. A total value of around $140 billion. Needless to say Boeing are well pleased with that launch result.
