The Manhattan is one of six basic drinks listed in David A. Embury's classic, The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks. It has been called a drinking man's cocktail - strong, urbane, and simple. It has also been called the "king of cocktails.” Gary Regan – Bar Guru.

1. Fill a Martini Glass with ice.

2. In a mixing glass add:
- 60 to 70 ml Wild Turkey Bourbon
- 15 ml Cinzano or Martini Rosso (vermouth)
- 4 dashes Angostura or Peychauds Bitters

Stir gently with ice.

Throw away ice from martini glass and strain in contents of the mixing glass.
