All Blacks Behind the Scenes Coverage
Adidas.tv has gone behind the scenes to offer up a view of the All Blacks like we’ve never seen them before. A film crew went with the All Blacks for the five matches, which made up last year’s UK- Ireland Grand Slam tour. The All Blacks were all onboard and enthusiastically opened their doors so that we could take a closer look at what goes on behind the scenes. Thanks to their all-access pass, the cameras were able to capture behind the scenes footage of what really goes on in a professional rugby tour.
The documentary resulting from this footage takes us into the private trainings, hotel rooms and changing rooms to see what really went into pulling off such a successful grand slam tour. Of course, the camera lets us in on the off-duty antics of the boys in black, too; documenting Richie’s attempt at the bag pipes and the team having a go at electronic pig racing - might need to watch it to find out more about that one.
The series follows the tour's form as it’s broken down into five sections to match the five tour games. Each of these sections is taken from a different perspective within the team: the captain, the rookie, the character, the coaches and the playmaker. With such a range of insightful angles into what makes the team tick, Adidas really have gone well beyond the limited access usually available.
The first of these episodes launches on April 3rd with “All Blacks vs Scotland." In this debut release, adidas.tv asks Richie what it takes to be an All Black captain.
